The story of the KLM Teman
The story of KLM Teman starts in the southern part of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, where it was handcrafted by local shipwrights and lauched in June 2017. During the construction, a rich variety of wood types were carefully selected and dried. Teak and iron wood; Ulin, Nona-lara and Merbau, were combined and placed in a way that would make the most out of the different characters, textures and strengths of each wood.
Its design is based on the traditional Indonesian boats from the area and adjusted according to modern standards. Its sleek shape and pointed bow ensures smooth sailing; the boat is capable of reaching speeds up to 9 knots.
The interior and exterior were designed with comfort and safety in mind. The boat features a spacious lounge, dining area, kitchen, sun and dive deck. Furthermore, the boat is equipped with a state-of-the-art navigation system and 2 generators with batteries. With 5 spacious and comfortable cabins, the KLM Teman can host up to 12 guests on board. Specializing in scuba diving and leisure cruises, the front deck was designed for efficiency and comfort for your water and land activities.

Renovated in 2021
When the borders of Indonesia were closed, we took the opportunity to renovate the boat and redesign some areas to make it even more convenient and look like brand new.

Keeping our machinery healthy is a priority for us, this is why we maintain all of our engines, generators, compressors, … between each of our trips.
