This day marks the beginning of your cruise with us to Banda Sea. Departure from the port of Ambon where you can board our Phinisi and take possession of your cabin!
Depending on your departure time, you'll do a check dive.
Itinerary Day 2
To begin the cruise, we will sail to Suanggi, a tiny island surrounded by hard coral reefs, ridges and pinnacles. If you are lucky you can see individual hammerheads patrolling the hard-coral reefs.
Itinerary Day 3
Heading to Manuk Island, the active volcano about 55 nautical miles south of the Banda Islands, is one of two places in Indonesia where there are huge aggregations of sea snakes.
The island is surrounded by black sandy slopes with hard coral reefs and volcanic ridges covered in gorgonians with schools of fusiliers and pelagic fishes. Hammerheads, mobula rays and eagle rays are often seen around this beautiful active volcano.
Itinerary Day 4 & 5
Cap to Nila Island there are two atolls, Dusborgh and Nil Desperandum. We will therefore spend one full day at Nil Desperandum and one full day at Dusborgh. These two atolls are quite large and can be dived all the way around It’s at these atolls that there is a good chance of seeing hammerhead sharks.
Itinerary Day 6
For the next few days we'll be arriving on a small island called Koon. Here we will find three dive sites in one. The name of the site, "Too many fish", says a lot about the multitude of creatures to be seen.
Itinerary Day 7, 8, 9
Head for Banda Neira, the famous spice islands. The diving here is varied and spectacular. As these volcanic islands rise to the surface, surrounded by deep water, the chances of spotting large pelagics are very good.
You will be diving at the "Lava Flow" site, famous for its fascinating underwater rock formations.
In the port of Banda Neira, a magnificent dive with mandarin fish awaits you. Other highlights include the Cathedral, Batu Kapal and Karang Hatta.
Itinerary Day 10
For our last day we will go to Ambon, the island rich in culture and history. Diving here is famous for seeing WWII shipwrecks and underwater caves.
The Laha Strait is very popular for seeing Rhinopias, Frogfish, Ghostpipefish and many rare creatures.
