Routes are planned around the conditions on the day, so no two cruises see quite the same thing.

Where the boat goes

Round trip from Sorong. How much of Raja Ampat you cover depends on the length of the cruise, the season and the conditions on the day.

Every cruise starts and ends in Sorong, a short flight from Bali or Jakarta. From there the whole archipelago is open to us: the Dampier Strait and Batanta in the centre, Fam and Piaynemo, Kawe and Wayag in the far north, and Misool in the south.

Cruises run from 7 to 12 nights, and the length is what decides the route. Shorter cruises work the central belt, where the reef is richest and the crossings are shortest. More nights buy the far north, or the run south into Misool. 11 and 12 nights is what it takes to link both in one trip.

Nothing is locked to a fixed schedule. Each day is planned around wind, tide and what the reef is doing.

Who can dive with us

Advanced Open Water or CMAS 2 star. Open Water divers dive supervised to 18 metres, and a private guide is 100€ a day if you are on your own. There is a check dive on day one.

Safety, non negotiable

DAN World dive insurance, or an equivalent policy that covers diving, is compulsory. Gloves are not permitted at any of our destinations, to protect the reef.

Good to know

What do I need to dive here?

Advanced Open Water or CMAS 2 star. Open Water divers dive supervised to 18 metres, and a private guide is 100€ a day if you are the only one. Check dive on day one.

Is dive insurance compulsory?

Yes. DAN World or an equivalent policy that covers diving.

I am travelling on my own.

A cabin to yourself is 150% of the per person rate. Same gender sharing can be arranged by mutual agreement.

Can we bring children?

From four they pay the adult rate. Under four is private charters only. Under eight is not usually accepted on an open trip.

How do I get there?

Flights are not included. Route through Bali or Jakarta, then a domestic flight to Sorong. Arrive a day early.

Can I rent equipment on board?

Yes. Full set 30€ a day, 40€ with a computer, nitrox 5€ a dive, 15L tank 10€ a day. Gloves are not permitted, to protect the reef.

Terms and Conditions

Bookings

30% per person within ten days of booking, the remaining 70% ninety days before departure. Bookings made inside ninety days need full payment at the time of booking.

Cancellations

121 days or more before departure, 100€ per person. Between 120 and 91 days, 30% of the cruise rate. Ninety days or less, 100%. Changes inside ninety days carry a 50€ admin fee.

Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, diving related injuries and trip cancellation. DAN World or equivalent.

Liability

Participation in all activities, diving and onshore excursions included, is at your own risk. Guests need to follow the safety guidance the crew gives.
